Miss Cecilia is 3 Months Old

Time is passing by way too quickly and we are enjoying every moment of Cecilia.
A few fun facts about Cecilia at 3 months:
-Weighs about 11 pounds (last we checked) and is a tiny little thing.
-Sleeping through the night- with a few exceptions here and there AND sleeping in her crib.
-Loves to eat her hands- hard to get a photo without her hands in her mouth.
-Loves Dolly Parton. My parents took her to see Joyful Noise while Davey and I went to a Suns game. We thought she would sleep through the movie as she has done during at least 10 movies with her mom. Anyway, she was awake during the movie and my parents said she was really into it, wanting to stand on my mom's lap and dance. I guess she fell asleep right at the very end. Well, since then she truly loves Dolly Parton. She hates her car seat and the only thing that seems to calm her down is Dolly. She particularly loves the song Islands in the Stream. This is one particular little pumpkin.
-She is rolling over.
-She is sitting up in her BUMBO but doesn't particularly like it after 5 minutes.
-She finally laughed a couple of times for her dad. She smiles a lot more too but is still "Serious Cece." I wish I could know what is going on in that little mind of hers.
-She is a talker. I love when she talks to us and flares her nostrils. She loves to squeal.
-Still sticks her pinky out only when she is hungry.
-Has to wear a sponge curler. Her hair is getting so long on top but she is losing it on the sides. If we don't put a curler in, it either just sticks up or looks like she is a little old, balding man with a comb over. She is always so cute regardless but we love her little signature curl.
-She is starting to kick her little legs when she gets excited to see her parents.
-She loves to take baths and loves to see herself in the mirror while bathing in our sink.
-She loves other kids.
-She loves being outside and taking walks. Again- she is very particular and only likes to be pushed in her stroller on the street and NOT the sidewalk.
-She is a wiggly little thing and loves to stand but she still cuddles with us which we love.
-Overall, Cecilia is such a pleasant and easy going baby. We are so lucky to have her!

Hike- Take Two

We have had such beautiful weather these days and we would be crazy not to take advantage of it. Cecilia and I take lots of walks during the week and on the weekend we enjoy hiking with Dad. She loves being outside. Last Saturday we had fun hiking with two of our very good friends, Allie & Kristin.

Valentines Day

We LOVE Valentines Day in our family! My parents always made a big deal out of it while I was growing up and I plan to do the same for Cecilia. My mom made her the cutest little Valentines holder and Davey and I got her a few little things. As you can tell, we sure love our little bug. This year we just had a nice and quite celebraiton at home eating delicious steak.

Friday

Playtime

Cecilia loves her playmat- sometimes she even plays herself to sleep.

Thursday

Birthday Boy

We love you, Davey!

Cecilia's First Hike

The weather here in Arizona has been so beauitful so we are trying to take advantage of it by taking hikes on Saturday mornings. Here are some photos of Cecilia's first hike. She LOVED it. In fact, she would get upset if we would stop to take a water break. She loved being on the go and even fell asleep on the way down.

Super Bowl

Every year we go to the Riter's to watch the Super Bowl. We always buy shirts for the team we are rooting for. This year we had to get Cecilia in on the fun. She looked too cute in her Patriots shirt. Too bad they lost. We had a great time regardless and I was happy for Eli. This first photo was NOT posed. I guess Cecilia wasn't too pleased with the results of the game.

Story Time

I had to snap a few photos of Davey reading books to Cecilia. So cute. Davey is the cutest dad ever and Cecilia loves when he reads to her. I love how she is holding onto him in these photos. I can't get enough of these two.

Saturday

Temple Lights & McCormick Train Park

We had a couple of fun nights out with the Riters during the holidays- temple lights and the train park. I'm thinking this should be a tradition. If Cecilia wants to be a true granddaughter to her Grandpa Riter, she needs to love trains. :)

Cecilia loved meeting her Aunt Rachel. It was so cute- Cecilia would talk Rachel's ear off. I had never seen her talk so much until Rachel came along. :)

Christmas

This was the best Christmas yet! Davey and I both agree that our best present ever was Cecilia. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with my family. We ate our traditional Hall family crepe dinner and Elizabeth prepared a wonderful Nativity production. All of the kids were so cute and Cecilia played baby Jesus. Lydia made the most beautiful Mary and she is so great with kids. Cecilia loved every minute of it and Lydia was a natural with her. Timmy was a hit as the star. All of the kids did a great job. Such a fun night!

We have a fun tradition with our good family friends, the Laneys, of going out to lunch every Christmas Eve afternoon to Crackers. This year was special because there were two new additions at the table- Cecilia and Audree. These little girls are so cute together. We wish they lived closer.

Christmas morning was spent at our house. My parents came over and watched Cecilia (me) open her presents. It was fun spending the day with them. We played the game Zero over and over again.

We had Christmas dinner at Andy & Elizabeth's house and got to play on their new Razors. It was a really pleasant day.

After church we went by the Riters house so they could see Cecilia in her Christmas dress.
